Huge thank you to everyone who has been a part of the adventure so far. We couldn’t have put even one foot in front of the other without your help. But all those little steps turned into many miles.
We reached a major milestone! More than five years ago, after realizing I would lose PermaPress Recording to encroaching construction of overpriced apartments, Twiggy Pop and I hatched an escape plan. We would sell our home in Portland and rebuild in the Mojave Desert. On February 20, 2020, we turned the power on in the solar powered studio we have been building next door to our humble homestead cabin. Still have quite a bit to do before we open the doors for recording and mixing but we sure can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Huge thank you to everyone who has been a part of the adventure so far. We couldn’t have put even one foot in front of the other without your help. But all those little steps turned into many miles. I'll be opening up the evening on Monday, March 9, for KaiL Baxley. The show is free. Music will begin about 8pm. And Susan Kearns will be joining me on upright bass. KaiL is headlining every Monday in March, and he's bringing a bunch of high desert artists to The Alibi to support him including Stevie from St. Lou and Landroid.
